Arcadia Community Centres are envisioned as vibrant, community centres fostering connection, growth, and wellbeing in all UK villages, towns, and city neighbourhoods. Aiming to serve all demographics with accessible, engaging environments, each centre will offer diverse activities - gyms, co-working spaces, childcare and softplay, art studios, theatres, workshops, and social spaces like cafés, restaurants and game rooms - tailored to local needs. Residential facilities will support those in mental health recovery, as well as potentially elders, seamlessly integrating all into the heart of the community. Rooftop gardens and nature corners will promote self-realisation and social bonds. Mental health support, including therapy and addiction clinics, will be woven into the community fabric, fostering resilience through shared experiences rather than clinical isolation. Arcadia Centres aim to redefine how communities cohere and how individuals connect, learn, and thrive together, addressing local needs through collaborative design.
The Arcadia Partnership is a national private public partnership for sector-specific organisations with national prominence to develop Arcadia Community Centres across the UK. Partners, such as leading gym chains and co-working space providers collaborate to shape centre designs and invest resources and expertise to the local business in their sector, like the local gym or co-working space. In return, partners gain minority equity stakes in the local operations they support, ensuring financial and strategic benefits, alongside prominent branding that enhances their prestige. This partnership fosters a scalable model, where national expertise supports vibrant, community led centres, integrating mental health, education, business, cultural, civic and social activities. By guiding local setups with experience, resources and training, national Arcadia partners drive a transformational paradigm shift in communities and cement their brands in the heart of UK communities for generations to come.
The Arcadia Partnership is now open at the Exploration stage, which is the only open opportunity to join the Arcadia Partnership. To ensure effectiveness of the Partnership, only one organisation or consortium of organisations per sector advances to Pilot Development and Pilot Implementation stages, locked in at Consolidation.
